For an ST, your PCD should be 5x100, your offset in the range of 35-38 and c/bore 54.

I shift around 3000-3500.
Infact I think the ST has a "power" band around 3200rpm.
If you shift with too lower revs and too slowly you get a sort of lag...at least I find that.
