great.. could it be waterpump? in the 96 auto, when i took the rad cap off it was covered in rust/dirt. very gritty feeling. that cant be good.

well, the bolt to the thermostat on the 94 5spd is pretty rusted. and the head is rounded. so i tried just the new radiator cap in that celica and it didnt help. still overheated after about 5-10 min...
