i've got the center console out. four bolts are out. the clip on the front right of the shifter... i've loosened but I didn't take it completely off. I can't punch out whatever is in step 9 right n...

Here it is. All installed with a knock off TRD shift knob. No roughness. Very tight. Used a Ralco RZ 7th gen. Thanks everyone! Best upgrade yet.
