Yeah. Make sure you get a good quality one. The first one I bought from Autozone would actually bend, rounding off fittings. I now have a fully polished 10mm x 12mm Craftsman one that works well.

You need a good quality line wrench. It slides over the line and grabs the nut from all six sides (only partially on two.)
Hopefully you didn't damage the fittings to the point where a line wrench won...
