i ran into this problem when i did mine. the rheostat will work but are these gauges LED...they probably are.....i have an issue that the LED's dim at a different brightness compared to the stock gaug...

what are the symtoms of limp mode? does it only rev to like 4 grand and sputter cuz that's what my girls mr2 is doing and we just picked up a new sensor but haven't installed it yet...it was throwing ...
