I'm pretty sure the seals are the same.. it's all the same family of trannies. If you got the 6 speed, might want to try the 7th gen GTS 6 speed seal too. As for the downpipe... go to an exhaust sho...

If by "best" you mean most powerful n/a motor, then you have to measure it by HP per liter. There's only 3 motors that come to mind.
