check your coolant thermister, see if its not opening (possible)
put higher-octane fuel in it.
any CEL's?
check your coolant - for any mixtures of oil.
also, the piston rings.... misfires tend to happ...

he probably ment 2 step boost. which means he can mash on the accelerator on a stop and i believe it has like a redline of xxxx rpm which then cuts ignition sooner than fuel which always a bit of fuel...
