Just seal it. Now it is sucking in false air. it serves no purpose.
It's prolly ''one size fits all" CAI, so its there for cars who do need it.

My 7a-fe with its 116hp isn't that quick. But now, going from 50km/h to 80km/h in third gear takes really forever and I need to step on it hard. That isn't good. So....tune up.
