Have you checked over you pass. and driver side axles? I know when my drivers side axle went it made a knocking noise. Look for a worn/torn axle boot and you might find the issue.

You can buy a replacement flasher unit for use with LEDs, i am currently using this one with success. Just had to make sure i matched up my flasher unit configuration to this one.

I've also had this issue with my blue LED's from Spree, i took them out to find they all had burnt out LED's. I am replacing them with white ones anyways.

While youre at it, check your axles as well. If its making the noise under hard acceleration you may have an axle going out.
