Actually the release bearing and throw out bearing are the same, BUT the input shaft bearing is something totally different.

Its your throw out bearing, you need to replace it.
The throw out bearing presses on the prongs of the pressure plate disengaging the clutch, I would also check you clutch fork for proper free play.

I would suggest just getting new shims as shimless buckets are VERY expensive and are really no gain.
