i actually thought of that, and I did it, with the same result.
Now when its "idling" if i give it a little gas, it will stick at whatever rpms I put it to, then drops.

when u replaced the cap, did u pull out the spark plug boots? if so, make sure they are in the correct order. the cap should be numbered to match the cylinders. the order of the cylinders from left...

i would have to disagree, i think it would be best to get aftermarket rods. I always thought the weak point in our engines were the rods.... so my recomendation would be forged rods if u got the caaa...
