I used strips of velcro tape(correct word?) stick the hard side under the subwoofer and it will sit in place on your trunk matt for ever. Cornering/accelerating, no problems.

The gearing isn't that much of a difference. You need to remember that the EU/JDM S54 tranny has a smaller F/D (3.9xx compared to the US 4.2xx) thus effectively having longer gears.

Its not only that the rotor is bigger. The whole brake pad surface is bigger = more stopping power. That has nothing to do with heating up or not. Thats only the case when upgrading to better gripping...
