Steam clean away. Cant hurt anything. Also Simple Green works well and Gunk engine cleaner. After your done you can polish things up with some tire shine.

Dont use the supra one it is a 2.2 bar one and will make you run lean. You should be able to pick up a 3sgte MAP for around $40.
I think the turbo probe injectors will work for you also.

There should be a bolt either on top or the side that you use to tighten or loosen the valve. Tighter for more boost and looser for less.

Is your BOV set for 5psi also? If its to tight and doesn't want to release till say 10psi then you will have boost surge. Try to loosen the bov a bit.
