I'm just curious cause my intake manifold is way higher in my engine bay. Could be just the difference...

Sounds to me like you got a short circuit. The AM2 circuit flows through your ignition switch (key on) and splits off in 4 directions.
-7.5A IGN fuse (turns on EFI relay)
-7.5A ST (starter relay) <---...
