I found that the headlights would dim a slight bit from time to time when accelerating.
Nothing really noticable or troublesome though.
But I think that problem was only down to fact that the mechanic...

I would definetly go ahead and get the pulley fitted.
A qualified mechanic should be able to get the job done without any problems

I have seen people washing their engine bays at my local carwash.
They use a high pressure power-hose to clear out all the old crap.
Dust, dirt (dead cats etc..
) which is stuck to the various engine ...
