I've heard of it and I know the benefits. I think an uprated alternator would be easier because then you wouldnt have to redo your wiring. Contact dustin15brown about them. I think they're 140Amp.

Why don't you just do a 7th gen short shifter? It's virtually the same thing, except it's just the shifter arm and not the whole base. I have the 7GC SS and I love it.
