so you jsut did the rings? you need to break them in and seat them. the combustion will force the rings against the hone and seal after a few hundred miles. did you re-hone the cylinder walls?

pretty much. you can also put like 150lbs of air in at TDC via air compressor and see if your coolant bubbles - headgasket. or hear air from either the intake manifold or exaust manifold - valves.

yes. put a drop of oil in the 160 and see if the numbers go up.

sounds like a dead battery almost.
or a locked up starter, try banging it with a hammer.
and IF its was hydrolocked try this
drain the oil.
put new oil in.
pull the spark plugs out.
vacuum out the cyl...
