For all you auto guys out there who didn't think shift knobs were an option.... they are!
Levoc makes a really sweet set of shift knobs that work REALLY well, also, there are many universal shif knobs...

Actually, you could look into buying a beat down convertabe celica and using the body and suspension components from it. After all, they are made to have no top!

You might try t-bar ing it instead... I am sure it would be Much easier, and I am not 100% sure how much stress is put on the roof. You might look at how the weather stripping and connection is done ...

The two piece skirts are from a convertible I would imagine. they don't look much different than stock. In other words, not worth your trouble.
