Do the slotted rotors make brake dust a serious pain? How bad is it with the carbon metallic pads?

My dad was fussing about it because he says drums are better because they don't require as much maintenance. My "they perform better" doesn't seem to work. Anybody got some reasons I could use?

you can paint the CF. Just (as neverstop said) paint the center section. Then, go over the rest of the hood with a candy paint that matches the center part. It'd be REALLY nice looking
