3rd gen intercooling(water to air) is by far better than 4th gen (air to air)
4th gen got the ct20b (same turbo) in one piece cast with the exhaust manifold (less good for maintenance)

OEM rad is WAY sufficient for a non built up 3SGTE at 400hp or less, the only thing important is thermostat (TRD 160degree does great), nature of the coolant.

hey, if you are sure that all the hoses that you unplugged are ALL replugged, just block this hole.
if you idle is as low as before (8-900rpm) means no vacuum leak: perfect.
