Right now the light strip by the door is visible but I plan on maybe painting it with some type of black transparent paint.It should hide it wel with the black carpets

I feel your pain, i have the same problem.
Things i replaced:
Airfilter, TimingBelt complete kit, Ignition Wires, Spark Plugs, Coolant with flush, Thermostat, and PCV Valve.
Next to try will be Thrott...
