I doubt it's effective as fire suppression, those things smoulder when given open flame and will actually continue to do so after the flame is gone, not to mention they soak up oil like a sponge too.....

It kind of looks like the pin in a limited slip. There's some S54 with limited slip's from the factory. It's common to get the wrong axles from parts stores.

If you put a turn down at the end of the pipe so it blasts the tarmac that will lower the DB reading by A LOT since the ground muffles and disperses a bunch of sound for you. I guess hit up a junk yar...
