Same deal. There is no 94+ 3SGE that is offered in the USA.
It is difficult to be 100% legal.
Many people get around with it one way or another.
Have you ever considered 1MZFE, V6 engine from Solara/C...

What Art said, the harness plug should NEVER been removed.
It will damage the solders inside.
Always UNCLIP it, NOT UNSCREW it.
BTW, your Vs-E2 readings look normal.

There are LHD GT-Four (steering on the left side of the car, driving on the right side of the road) in Switzerland and Germany. How rare of them in those countries, I don't know.

Be careful with that high mileage engine and synthetic oil. There is nothing wrong with using conventional oil as long as you change it out regularly.

Just look for the oil filter.
If it points up and is next to the oil dipstick, it is 1st gen engine.
If it points down, next to the oil pan, it is 3rd gen engine.
Here are some pics of 3rd gen engine

Seriously, You might outflow the F head but it is not gonna blow because of boost.
Head gasket is another story.

You can get a used/blown CT26 for pretty cheap these days.
Buy it as a core and send it to ATS to minimize down time.

Basically, it will be easier with 3sgte.
They both have "S" block, just like your 5
S
FE engine.
There are only 4 generations of 3SGTE (counting the one in Caldina as the 4th gen)

Don't mess with the timing yet.
Jumping TE1 and E1 will not harm the car.
It'll just put the ECU in diagnostic mode.
That means, any stored error code in ECU memory will show up.
