both good choices... but between the lower models of Clarion and Alpine, id probably pick Alpine.... but as you said, personally choices.... for the higher end choices it would be a toughy...

for that much money you shouldnt go with L7's.... there are way better 8"s than that.. plus they are the same as the old L7's which you can pick up for waaaaay less..... look at Crystal Comp 8"s... al...

the HU that Slipgun has, id take it over the 9831 any day... that Clarion HU is absolutely amazing.... in every aspect... id love to have it.. you can find it for around the same price as the 9831.......
