maybe your oil pump is on its way out? Perhaps your oil pressure sending unit is shot? It's time to run a manual gauge. Just 'T' it right at the electronic sending unit. It's cheap and works great!

Yes it is a 5sfe. I ran the engine with that sensor broken and my temp gauge worked fine. Is that the same sensor-to-gauge?
