might be because when tilting the engine backwards like that the blocks centre of gravity becomes lower and moves backwards slightly.

mixed opinions! . The beams is ok, its not worth putting on a pedestal though, it will sit in my shed as my backup engine. I want more power in this car, and I dont got the £$£$£ to tune the beams....

oh well i got an st185 engine cheap, cambelt slipped at idle so i need to rebuild the head, gonna be a nice little project. will keep you guys posted

mostly because getting further power from the 3s-gte is a peice of cake compared to the beams, I intend to track the car, and will have the beams to fall back on, alternativly i could probably sell it...
