A brand new ST185 was rated 19 mpg city.
So, his 18-20ish sounds reasonable if he's not on highway much.

Interior pieces. Stuff like door panels, radio trim, center console, ect.
Sensors are good too.

Ceramic turbine won't last long at that much boost.
Stock CT26/CT20B will not get you there.

It will not directly bolt up.
To use 5s block on awd transmission, you will need a grinder.
But that shouldn't be a problem considering you are going to do an AWD conversion.
May I ask why 5SFE+AWD? W...

You can tap it at oil pressure switch (a.k.a oil pressure sender)
It is at the front driver side corner of your engine.
BTW, is the oil pressure gauge mechanical or electronics?

I meant it reduces radiant heat "from" the engine.
Most of us with 3S are doing fine without the insulation.
With 5SFE, it doesn't get that hot.
You don't need to worry about that.
BTW, it's more like...

1. I removed mine years ago. Paint still looks perfect.
2. I can't confirm that. But my car has not have any problem since.
3. It gets pretty hot there. Heat reflection will help reduce radiant heat.

Never said that he should use a GT4 rear diff in RWD conversion.
I'm thinking more of the stock chassis rigidity.
I'm not sure about 6th gen, but ST185 chassis is more stiffer than its FWD siblings.

Agree.
But, it will be easier to start with a GT4.
While you're there, instead of a 3SGTE, slap a 1UZ and a pair of turbo there.

That's probably true, since my job is doing research.
Coking occurs when the turbo is not properly cool down.
It is one of the reasons of turbo failure. (CT26 included)
