ya the fans come on automatically if the coolant temp sensor isn't plugged in. It's a good failsafe
That would be the circuit to focus on, maybe the sensor itself is buggered and giving a false posit...

nope 1157 is a dual filament bulb. The little tits on the side are staggered and there are two contacts on the bottom...whereas the 1156 has parallel tits and a single contact on the bottom

1156 bulbs for the GT4 turns, they are clear as the lens is orange...if you upgrade to clear lenses then you need to put in an amber bulb...chromed preferrably

^^good question. I would guess wrapping isn't necessary when it is already coated but it never hurts to go bigger
