This particular unit won't work with your 94' without it being re-programmed by Venom. The 400 for 95-98 is a V40-137 and for your 94 it is V40-147. I think Venom charges about $50 to re-program units...

It did consume a small % more of gas but this typically only occurs when the unit is in activation mode, and normal fuel consumption returns once normal driving conditions are continued.
