Heres what would probably do best. Cut a link out of the top portion and reweld a bit shorter. Cut the bottom and add a bit of length to it... should work yes?

Short shifters are sweet but I just put on a razo shift knob the long thin one and the way it sits on the arm makes it feel like a shorter throw. I love it..

About 20-45$ depending. Its pretty sweet. It works wonders. Even if the plug was loose or the cap was not on properly, that isnt your main problem. By the way... Rinse your engine and radiator off bef...
