No there shouldn't be, also they should came with a plastic/elastic weatherstripping thing that should ensure that the skirt won't leave a gap between the chassis and the skirt.

IMO, don't get the Supra if you can't comfortably pay for it.. I'd start with minor mods to the Celica, see how you feel about that. If you decide to stick with it, you've already got the basic stuff ...
