8.8mm?? What the heck. You would have a CR of like 2:1. HKS makes a very good metal HG in 1.1 and 1.6 mm sizes. Don't know about no 8mm though

Hell, you can get the 5sfe up there with no Turbo. High comp pistons, thinner metal head gasket, stroker kit, EMS...It would be expensive as all getout, but it can be done.
