I think he means the angle of the spoiler can be changed. Directional as in change the angle of attack. Not actually the direction but whatever.

Read somewhere that it also protected the paint on the hood. If you don't have it the paint turns to sh!t.

Problem with running the speakers in that hump bit. If you have them one above the other like that you'll lose the stereo effect. it'll be loud, yes, but the sound quality will go down.
