Put a 20v head on a 7a block with a 1zz crank and 2zz rods, then put on some 4a pistons. It would take some machine work but you would get just shy of 2L.

why go to all that trouble to sc it? The sc12 and sc14 are too small for some with only 1600ccs. If you want more power make a 9age because the 7a crank is so so for high hp.

mr2 mk1 are cheap starter cars, but be careful with rust! After market support isn't too shabby and if you want more power drop a blacktop in it.
