I repaired the wire, and there was no effect.
Hazards work, so does that mean that its a relay thing? Are there separate relays for left/right turn signals?

I just checked the wiring - its blackish. Primarily the number 2 wire which is two toned. I thought maybe the socket was just dirty (which it was) but now I'm thinking that there is a short somewhere....
