I am watching this with interest also. I just did a short block in mine and I must have got one or two shims mixed up because I can here one in there tapping away- A write up would be great!

HI Guys. I'm brand new to this forum, and this sounds so familiar. I did the dizzy o-ring, fought with the crossmember and did the oil pan gasket, etc., and guess what it was the rear main seal. UGH-....
