The best intake for the ST is the Dr. CAI, as its a true CAI. For reference it uses a K&N filter, and is custom made for the 6th gen STs by a fellow celica owner.

If you got the time/money to do the job right, and the turbo is in good condition...go for it. Be sure to not skip on anything, turbo cars are picky and dont like cheap stuff.

If you are going from 7afe/5sfe --> 3sgte or even the 4agze...please dont mod it right away, its a big jump, and that much power in a fwd application will take some getting used to.

Weird, I have found [from experience] that 2nd and 3rd are the best gears for me. I have an ST 5spd aswell.
Starting in second may not be a bad idea in big power/turbo cars, because usually those gear...

4age - 20v... overrated power figues, puts out closer to 140hp, ask Xpander on celica.net...he has done the swap.
4age - 16v... not much power, but loads of aftermarket.
