My Supra's the same. Drums are better for parking brakes because they self energize whereas Disc brakes can slip easier. Only if they're set up right though.

Yes, I'm doing the clutch. Right now I feel lucky to have driven it from the driveway to the shop out back because it slips SOOO much. Probably a new flywheel at the same time because how bad it feels...

I had the engine out while I replaced all the gaskets and seals, head, clutch, etc. It's back in as of this past Sunday. The engine stand pic was the best one I had at the moment of how it looks now.
