FS: 1995 Toyota Celica GT - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #10015 10 posts Started by holson
I'm selling my 1995 Celica GT

It's Anthracite Grey Metallic with 105k mi.

Manual transmission
power windows, moonroof, central lock, etc >smile.gif>

Ever since I bought it, I've had the following done:

Timing chain (Toyota dealer)

Mobil 1 0w-30 synthetic and Bosch filter

Radiator flush and refilled (Toyota dealer)

brakes checked out
parking brakes adjusted

new OEM windshield and trim around it

4 Snow tires and Toyota OEM steel wheels with Toyota Camry 15" wheel covers
The tires are Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50s bought from TireRack

Pioneer Head Unit with CD player and I will provide the stock Headunit (double din with CD PLayer) - I installed the Pioneer HU using a wire harness so you can easily install the original radio back.

New wiper blades

The car runs really well and as you know these things are really fun to drive >wink.gif>

Problems:

Driver's side headlight has some water in it
ABS light is on
Rear Wiper motor is dead but is now taken off so the front wipers work fine

Cosmetic imperfections:
misc. dings and scratches (it's not a beauty queen - but I'm a perfectionist)

dent in the passenger side quarter panel at the front near the side marker light

paint isn't that great near the front bumper area.

I'm asking for US$6,000 - If you'd like to negotiate please send me an email
holsonyap@rcn.com

Car can be seen near the BU (Allston/Brookline) area.

Thank you,

Not to be rude but the blue book on your car is 4,800 and that is being generous and saying it is in good condition , with the mechanical and visual defects its blue book is 4,300. I think your asking to much.

I would offer you 4,000 but I am in maryland and can't drive a stick so I couldnt even come pick it up and be comfortable enough to take it home.

I would be interested if we could arrange to meet somewhere closer to me and you would drop the price to around blue book.
Whole Sale = $4,900
Retail = $7,495

Not counting the Imperfections. You're good to go bro. Good Luck

I'm new to 6g , my friend (bojangles_8686) has one and im in the market for a new car around 5k and I want one cause of the many rides I've gotten from him since I wrecked my neon.

Where did you get those figures? i generally like to use blue book but yours seem to be skewed a bit higher. Wait

Wholesay = private party
Retail = dealer

correct?

edit: so I dont get flamed to high heaven I am a newbie and I was just going based on blue book, sorry for sounding like an idiot, and I definitly wasnt trying to bitch you out (orig poster) good luck selling the car, in my searches they are pretty rare around here (everyone has ST, blah!) so I assume they might be up there.

Good Luck >smile.gif>

I have the program on my comp at work. I work at the bank.

Wholesale = private party
Retail = dealer

It's something similar to that but not in stone. Dealers just like to juice people for money.
Wait so I was right >tongue.gif>, You just rounded up!

Besides the imperfections are the only reason why he wont get his asking price, the car would be worth 6 grand in mint condition >smile.gif>
The blue book does take minor dings into concideration tho. Mint would be a bit higher.
KBB does not reflect the car market, its just a very base price. KBB says my car is worth 3,400 HAHAHAHA thats hilarious. The only time you see a MR2 turbo go for under 4k is if it is damn near totaled or the engine is missing.

Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them allNo but I don't buy itLike anything you do, as anyone you areCause I'm...Ten Speed, of God's Blood & Burial
So far, the cars ive seen around sell at the KBB price.
I'm just testing the waters really. i might end up just trading it in... or keep driving the crap out of it til it drops >biggrin.gif>
