Howdy there, im a nebie who is currently looking at buying a beams ss3. Thing is i cant find a lot of info on them on the interweb. Do you guys have any info on them? Im based in Dublin Ireland btw. The car is a 98 ss3, mint condition with about 37k miles on the clock. Has the red head. Anyone got performance figures on it?

Ive heard the beams puts out like 260hp...may be off though :/ sorry, dunno too much about the celi's outside of the us

That engine is so sweet! 197 horsepower from the factory, BEAMS VVT-i, and Toyota reliability make for an excellent engine. >>

its a hot engine

was it the one with the black top that puts out 210, I thought one of the beams put out 210

Beams Red engines can push to 200 bhp. 210 bhp make the JDM Altezzas (IS200) 4 cyl with dual VVTi.

Anybody has any idea what the 2003 JDM Caldina with the new 4gen 3SGTE engine makes? Prolly around 280.
