ok after reading all of the completed swaps. no one ever mentioned having to move the ac and cruise control and i thought this was a problem. does the ac need to be moved with high pressure lines? and does the cruise control need to be mounted elsewhere? thanks

No and No... the AC may or may not work... we'll find out shortly...

AC doesn't work on mine anymore. Not sure why though, gotta look into it more.

Mike (qatar) is trying to see if my A/C will work after my swap. A lot of people started the swap with non functioning A/C as it was, or did not want to include the A/C. The cruise control works on David's (ToYCeLi8) car.
when you have that kind of power/speed, you dont want to just cruise... and throw down the windows, all that power/speed will give you a nice breeze >
> but whats it matter anyway? if someone would rather have AC/Cruise over a 3S-GTE, then they have a mental deficency...

never had cruise control and i never used my A/C.
So it works out perfect for me =)

i've been in plenty of accidents. (none my fault either) they tried to accuse me of slamming into them, changing lanes into them, goin too fast, ect... It dont work. I always take great pictures, have witnesses, and have a great lawyer.(personal friend)
The last accident, some lady was on my left and tried to cut me off real quick to get into a parking lot. I was driving at arround 35-40 when she sped up and drove accross me to get in the parking lot. I hit the break, and she slammed me on my driver side and onto the curb making my car break a bus stop.
i swear, i felt like !@#$ for about 4 months, and still feel messed up once in a while. My car was completely ruined. i got a lot of money, but still not enough for everything i went through. One good thing is that there was nobody at the bus stop at the moment.
so i agree with you when you say, dont drive like a freeking moron or idiot on the street. That goes for young kids, or whatever age you may be. A car can also be considered weapon, so use it responsibly.
sorry, i talk too much

Personally, I don't think I would want a car in Texas without A/C. I guess I'll have to side with the 7afe over the 3sgte for now as long as the Celica is the daily driver.
I live in Louisiana, and A/C is a must with the heat and humidity here. It'd be worth having (or making) some custom refrigerant lines, if that's even a possibility.
couldnt you just hook up a toggle switch to the A/C and run it that way>? you wouldnt have the temp setting etc but at least there would be air
99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =)
the 3sgte is coming. but i lve in FL and this summer it would be nice to have some ac.
mike is telling me it shouldnt be a problem, you just use the GT compressor.
Its not really about the hardware, the compressor, or AC lines and what not.
its that the ECU is controlling the A/C and making sure that the ECU gets all the right information and is happy.... and since we are jumping evolutions in the toyota wiring system.. (i.e. 90-93 to now 94-98) there are a few differences.

My ac works... they used 3 different ac compressors , mine being one of them, to build it... its cold , no complaints
my cruise control: well no one before me gave a **** about cruise control, so they didnt have experience doing that, but the guy with a gt-4 conversion has his cruise control working...

What kind of joker would want cruise control with a 3sgte engine??!! AC on the other hand is a different matter. its cold in england but even when it gets up to 75 degF it gets damn hot in the car

i use it whenever i see a cop... set it on the speed limit and relax... daily commutes dont seem to take long with a 3s... with a 3SGTE all trips seem shorter... and your gas tank empties quikly...

i started this topic and i agree with kuya 100%. i mean i want my car to be comfortable because im not gonna be haulin' ass everywhere all the time. i live in FL, i have black leather. say me and my g/f go to get in my car shes gonna want some ac. when i have to drive to college next year, im gonna want my cruise control. people with corvettes have cruise control and AC and their cars are fast. your making no sense by saying that just because its a fast engine that these two things are unnesesary.
