I have installed reverse glow gauges that i bought on ebay, but the problem is that the needles are the almost the same colour of the gauge. The gauge is indiglo so i want to install red 194's to make the needles red over the blue background. What is the brightest?? is xenon really better or will the regular bulbs with red plastic covering them look bright??

I just bought cheap 194 bulbs at Shucks that are colored-glass. They're pretty bright, and haven't faded at all. >>
