One of my good friends g/f is in love with my car and she just bought a brand new '04 Hyundai Tiburon GT. She says she really wants to trade cars because she likes my car so much and doesnt really like hers, she is making payments on the car though and says she would continue to make the payments on it. Is this even possible? Also, I dont want a Hyndai, once she transfered ownership to me would I be able to sell the car? Thanks
Mark
she doesnt own the car, the bank does. Thats why she's making payments.

...and what's more, if for any reason the payments stop, the bank repossesses.
You end up with nuthin'.
yea i was thinkin the way to do it would be for her to take out a loan from the bank, pay the rest of the car off at the dealership and then trade cars.
Y in the HELL would you ever want to trade your celi for a tiburon? NO! >thumbsdown.gif>

why didnt she just get a 6gc in the first place and use the extra money for mods to make it like yours?

Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it...
why would anyone want your car. I see one just like it every day....LOL
i really like the way tiburons look... i test drove a 97 before i bought my celica... only reason i didnt is becuase a toyota would be alot more reliable...

I don't know about you guys, but I drove one and they are pretty quick. They handle really well too. Well the 03 and 01 that my 2 buddies have. my one buddy drives his cross country alot and loves it. No problems. The other one, I ahve abused and its amazing. Just heavy though..
yeah, the car title cant be released without the lein being let up off of it, you would need a note from the bank saying that there is no longer a lein on it (money owed)

id suggest explaining the situation to the bank... then send her to this site, and never come back.

i can tell who here has dealt with their banks and the dmv (aka owns their car)

edit: hyndai (i dont even care how its spelled) is the worst. they copy toyotas. its the all time poser, and i will consider your thoughs about getting one to NOT make you a true blooded toyota driver.

besides, im guessing the loan/title is in her parents name because from the sound of it this is a high school aged person because she obviously does not think about these types of things. if she paying for it once again not very bright because the loan payments on a 2004 would be quite hefty for a high schooler to take care of

i am awesome
The backseat is smaller in the Tibs than in the Celi...why make it harder for urself to get it on or rub one out?

(i only said rub one out for the fact that you are looking to trade your nice car for a tib...you must be lonely and deprived)

Just playing, I agree with Supersprynt, why are we still questioning this...NO!
