supra for sale around me - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #1104 25 posts Started by Black97
There's a 93 supra Premier Edition with leather, 155k miles, spoiler, 98 backlights and stuff for 8,000 around here. I could probably get it if I wanted to sell my celica (I'm only about 3 months into payments on it though), it'd go for about 10-12k around here. It's already got a nice system in it with subs and all that, just tell me what you think.
It's green though by the way : \
whats the blue book on it? i would do it man 8K for a sweet ass car, as long as it dosent have a salvage I would go for it.
Listen to me: if there were a Supra around me for 8k I would (honest to god) trade or sell my Celica to get the money for it. Buy it.
8k is so damn cheap!! who cares if its green i say paint it gunmetal grey!
The blue book's around 9,000 on it cause of it's high miles and stuff, the tough thing if I did decide to get it would be convincing my parents to let me, they get crazy about that kinda stuff
Great fast car with two seats, great slow car with four. Decisions decisions!
Fill us in on some specs. 6 Speed? Twin turbo? Targa top? Any aftermarket mods? If it has those things then I would definitely do it. I agree with cody on this one.
Wha? the supra only has 2 seats?
Not sure about the mods or anything yet, it's gotta sport top, but anything else I'd have to email the guy about
Sounds like a n/a supra, hopefully its a 6 speed, remember supras cost a lot more to insure than celi's and if its that cheap it probably needs some or a lot of maintenance. If you got the money to repair go for it!
I'm thinking there must be something wrong with the car to be selling for such a low price. After 'that movie' Supras been selling for 1.5 or 2x their blue book price. Unless the owner doesn't realize what he has... doubtful, but possible nonetheless.

I believe all '93 n/a Supra's were 5spd, I could be wrong. If your planning to do a Swap on your Celica, keep the Celica, unless the Supra is TT.
Well, i'm guessing you are a teen male from the way you talk about your parents.....if I were you I'd take it to a mechanic's shop to get them to do a complete check up on it, then call up your insurance agent and get a quote on how much it'll cost you to insure that car; my guess is that it would kill you.
GO FOR IT!!! CAN'T GO WRONG WIT A SUPRA!
Thanks for all the input, I'm not gonna get it I dont think, after insurance and everything it would be a lot, plus the high mileage isn't too good either 155k
Well..155K isn't a whole lot on a well maintained Toyota. But insurance would split your ass in half.

155K is a lot for a turbo car tho. if it hasn't been maintained well, you might have to buy new turbos, and that gets $$.

Word, your stepping onto a higher platform of supercar, higher insurance, higher maintenance, higher desirability and
jealousy from unscrupulous people.I understand the temptation though, go for it if it's not gonna make you broke.....

Yeah the problem would probably be insurance cause my parents are paying for it, and they'd probably just tell me to stick with the celica. I still love havin my celica, and my dad and I just got a 68 camaro with a pontiac 400 engine in it as a project car, so I wont have to worry about people wanting to race me anymore anyways lol
Heh. 68' Pontiac = Steel

Supra = Aluminum and fiberglass.
mostly fiberglass I would imagine.

It's a 68 camaro, just with a pontiac 400 engine. The camaro is still pretty light even though it's made out of steel. The camaro could beat a stock supra.
