is this a good price for a JDM toyota caldina front clip 3sgte? it has 10K-30K and i can pick it up in NJ i live in MD right now plus i have a friend who has a tow truck u guys think i can find one cheaper...anyone from MD done a swap yet????

The caldina 3s-gte is rumored to be a close to impossible swap. The wiring for the new toyotas is totally different. Its more of one highway transporting all the signals instead of 150 different little streets >> so getting the engine to comunicate with anything else on the car would be very hard, not to mention lengthing the harness would be pretty impossible...

Get a st185 3s or a st205 3s. You should be able to find a very good condition st205 clip for under 4k shipped.

there was a beefed up 3s for sale that put out like 700hp... so you can get pretty high on a 3s...

those guys in paterson selling that engine are really overpriced with some of the stuff they have becareful if you deal with them....... I have chatted with them many times and I just dont get a good feeling dealing with them

HP numbers for the 185 are around 225Hp and for the 205 is 251 HP

also i got my celica at an auctoin for like 1,700 do u think it is wise to try to find a mr2 and buy the car for like 1-2K and then take the engine out of that??
