switches - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #11465 48 posts Started by Celicaca
can anyone with switches in their car (for neons etc.) show sum pics of where they are and what kind of switches and what not. thanks
Well.. I just have a controller box for my neons.. pretty small, mounted it inside my glove box because I have a 'vert and like everything to be under lock and key. Hassle to adjust while driving tho..

I offered to write a howto on it (fairly custom/complex install), but no one was interested.
My neons under my dash turn on when my lights go on, using a relay to take the load off the interior light fuse...

As far as my future neon plans, I will be placing a switch either between the ashtray and armrest, or inside the armrest compartment...

check my profile theres a pic there cant get pics load to board
I am thinking of putting one below my CD player. I am thinking diamond plate or fiber glass and molding it in.

I used to have four switches below(or above...I can't remember) my cd player a long time ago. I just found a pic the other day, and I'll post it later when I'm off work.

Right now I have my window switches molded into my interior panel that goes around the shifter. It was done poorly though and I need to take some time to re-do the panel and make it better. Here's a pic though.

This pic is pretty dark... I hope you can see the switch. I went to a local hardware store and bought a simple push button switch. I installed it on the driver's side, right on the kick plate next to the clutch. I just wired it into the fuse box and grounded it into the chasis. Hope it helps >smile.gif>

don't have a pic at the moment but one is on the left of my shifter, and the other 3 are where my left middle dash vent used to be
im going to make a plate to go in the compartment above my cd player (i have my cd player below the pocket)... but thats when i finally get around to putting neons in my car....
Coomer, that temp gauge molded into the shifter cover is nice. Is it reproducable for a relatively sane cost? I've got some GReddy gauges sitting on my dash, and it'd be nice to relocate my water temp there; very clean looking.

if you notice under the steering wheel on the plastic, theres two squares on each side, right around where ur knees are. u can put two switches in there, thats what i did.
always wondered what those were for tho..
