My friend fixed my idle rpm, so now it idles at 1000 =)
Fixed my idle rpm - 6G Celicas Forums
Your idle is still a little high. It should be right around 800 to 850, or you could do damage to your transmission. Before you ask how it will damage your tranny, i'll tell you. When your idle is too high, and you put it in gear, you can, and eventually will, start taking teeth off the flywheel. You will also start breaking the bands in your tranny. You dont want to do that, so I would suggest having it lowered a little bit more.
My car is an automatic, so i dont think it has a flywheel at all. Automatics tend to have a higher idle rpm than sticks
I understand that auto has higher idle, but manual is set at around 700-750, while the auto is set at 800-850.
as far as the flywheel, that was the wrong word. what i ment was the input shaft on the tranny. they do break if you have too much gas when you put it into gear. it can damage the torque converter also.

Heh, yeah...every engine has a flywheel.
according to the chiltons repair manual tha 7afe should idle at 700 for both at/mt and the 5sfe should idle at 750 for both trannys. you might try resetting the ecu because it will adjust its self from when your friend changed your idle the first time.
oh yea on a manual trans it is a flywheel
on a automatic its called a drive plate

just un do the positive battery cable for about 10 min. the ecu is the computer box under the carpet below the dash on the passenger side
if you reset the ecu let me know if this works for you. i had a vacum line come of and it made my car idle at 1100 rpm's. put it back on and it idled at 400 reset the ecu and it idles right at 700.
im goign to pull it out now brb.
