It seems to me that one of my subs is hitting a lot harder than the other, does anyone know what I would have to mess with on the amps to balance them out a little. I don't want to go turning knobs back and forth without knowing what im changing, so either and answer or an idea of what each knob does would be helpful.

I know there's gain, eq, and freq, does anyone know what those do?

Gain would be the adjustment you need to make. It may take several adjustments(adjust, listen... adjust, listen...) to get it set the same, but gain is your loudness.

: Also, the EQ and Freq adjustments should be the same for two subs(don't know what your EQ knob is for, possibly the level of the onboard equalizer??, but Freq should be the filter to filter the highs from the sub) :

just make sure the gain on each amp is the same.

Thanks a lot guys, I'll try that out tomorrow after I get home from school. Gotta make sure everything is working like its supposed to, especially since i just put dynamat in my trunk so now is the system's time to shine. I'll let you know how it works.

Also, Make sure you have the type of cable going to each one. Way back in the day when i first started setting up my system i was using a monster sub cable for one and a little cheap one for the other and i noticed the same prob your having. When i switched the cables around the other started hitting harder. So i had to get 2 of the same exact cable. Then the hit at the same time.

Well I got the same cables going to the two different amps and subs, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm gonna go see what I can do right now.

Alright well this is what happened. I went out, checked the frequencies, eq, and the gain, and it seemed like the one sub was still hitting a little earlier/harder than the other. I think it only looked earlier because it was a little louder and it vibrated more.

So I went back and forth, checking the gain of both, and I made sure they weren't too high up either, to make sure that I wasn't messing anything up, and I eventually got them even. They seem to be quite in sync now, so thanks a lot.

Everything's working out well, and the rattle has really calmed down after I put in the dynamat. I hope everything stays together alright.
