228hp sounds about right. Thats the thing you get with 4wd >biggrin.gif>

what does a stock gt-4 put down at a dyno? how about a stock evo8?

15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
Well my one put down 228hp at the wheels with exhaust, filter and more boost.

My guess a stock one would do about 195ish hp. The drivetrain loss is about 25%
i just found a dyno sheet for a stock evo....

EDIT: Sorry i posted the wrong dyno....the guy did a 3rd gear and a 4th gear run.

here is the correct 4th gear dyno run.

arent most dyno runs done in 4th gear which is usually the gear that is closest to 1:1 ratio?

why is that evo's dyno done in 3rd?

edit:the dyno was changed

1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition@gt4.wrc on Instagram
I just got a quote on a 04" WRX ..*gulps*..check this out.....

....Directly from the letter,

Dear Daniel Snider:

Thank you for your Internet request.

Based on the information that you have provided, if you were to replace your
1997 Toyota Celica GT/LE with a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX, your new six month
premium would be approximately $2,005.60. This is a total increase of
$1,448.90. Please keep in mind that this is an estimate only, and the actual
premium may differ based on the Vehicle Identification Number. Since this
request was for a quote only, no changes have been made to your policy.

I have Geico and I pay now $94 a month for Liability only, this would be $330 a month...damn >rolleyes.gif> Scratch that idea.

how i think of it is a subaru costs £20k new and a used gt4 costs £6k plus the £14k on mods and your going to have one killer.

NIGEL's CELICA
the sti frunt end is hella better looking, I really dont like the gt4 bumper. its just looks all rong, but thats just me.

wat do u mean by own? quarter mile? track? rally? If you beleive that a car is 'fast' because it goes fast in a straight line then of course the sti is faster. However, if youre talking about real world pace then a gt4 is faster, i can take corners much faster in the gt4 than i can in my friends sti.

anyway this is not eally a fair comparison, the comparison should be wrx to gt4. Also there are so many derivatives of sti= r, ra, ra spec c, p1, ppp, 22b etc and theres only 2 gt4 models with the same power

There are quite a few race teams in Japan that did or still do run 3s-gte's in Supras. Someone posted a link to a webpage on one of the teams ages ago (sorry I cbf searching for it).

As for the sti.. I can only say from first hard experience cruising the hills around my city in one, and from also being in a '90 alltrac and from what I've heard from st205 owners here. Most people have said that stock the car isn't as fast as they expected, and needs some work to unleash the beast.

If you think the wrx can't handle, go watch a round of the WRC, or go thrash one through some hills. Don't get me wrong, I would take a GT4 over a WRX anyday of the week.. but my point is that stock the STi is (i think) faster.
