RallyCross on May23 NorCal - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #12538 3 posts Started by ScoobyDooCruiser
I am going to be racing my first race comeing up this next weekend. I was curious if anyone on this site had raced rallycross before, and could tell me how a celi holds up.

Also, if anyone has been to a RallyCross race, and could tell me what its like, that would be awesome.

Thanks!

Rallycross is great fun in a Celica. I normally place about average in the ST, although I haven't been in a while(last time I went I busted 2 motor mounts).
The rear in the Celica has a tendency to spin out(very weird the first time out), and ends up making it really fun to drive in the dirt.
Out of the 5 times I went it was a blast every single time. Go to Chatt SCCA for pics of me and my results. I haven't raced this year, but I did from 02-03. Just about every time I had the potential to place well, so the Celica isn't too much of a slouch. The only thing I would change would be to add an LSD and some dirt tires.
When I get a second car I'll be going back to Rallycross.
